Do you remember Benny? He was featured almost two months ago. Castoff was asking for help to cover his medical expenses. His family had abandoned him and he was found with a terrible injury to his paw. He was heart worm positive and his leg would need to be amputated. Since then, he has been on a slow kill for the heart worm and Dr. Vardeman has decided it is time to schedule the surgery for his amputation. We hope Benny will do fine and can get this behind him. As it is, he is still having to drag his front leg, which still requires daily dressing changes. We will send out another update after his surgery to let everyone know his condition. Thank you to all of you who have donated for his care, we appreciate it. Benny is a great dog and were so happy to be able to get him the medical care he needs.
