Castoff Pet Rescue, in collaboration with Coastal Humane Society located in Brunswick, Maine, rescued 32 dogs/puppies from dire situations. Some were surrendered as strays, while others were rescued from local shelters and animal control facilities.

Coastal Humane traveled 2300 miles to get them back to their shelter, where they will find their forever homes. Upon arrival in Maine, they were met by the local TV station, doing a story on the wonderful animals coming from Blairsville, GA.

Coastal Humane has difficulty keeping animals for adoption in their shelter, whereas our area is over saturated with too many unwanted animals.
