Castoff Pet Rescue was able to rescue these five little 8-week-old puppies.

They were found by a very good citizen that called us to help. The five hound puppies were discovered along side a country road huddled together in the rain. They were cold, hungry, very thin and had hardly any fur on them. We took them into a foster home and fed them and made them comfortable for the night.  The next day they were taken to our veterinarian. They are suffering from malnutrition, sarcoptic mange, and generally in poor health. They were bathed, vaccinated, dewormed and began treatment for the mange.

This picture was taken outdoors where they got fresh air and a chance to play in the grass, given what little was there. They are on the mend and will need several months to recover to the point where they can be adopted. This is what Castoff Pet Rescue is all about. We take care of many dogs and cats, a lot of which come to us in these types of conditions and desperately need our help to survive.
