Castoff Pet Rescue is overjoyed at the number of pets we rescued in 2013.

We handled a total of 325 cats during 2013! Of those, 140 were adopted into loving homes in and around our area. Another 96 went on transport to states where spay/neuter laws are more strict and all of those kitties were adopted as well. We had a record number of feline lives saved and even placed many long-term residents in wonderful homes.

On the dog side of the rescue, CPR had a total intake of 335 dogs in 2013 with 99 being adopted locally. A whopping 237 dogs were transported to states along the East Coast to other rescues where they have waiting lists of people wanting to adopt. Every dog found a forever home!

That’s a lot of rescues and we’re grateful to everyone who donated their love, time, energy and money to saving the lives of all these pets. Thank you.
