Just Cash…No…there is more that can be done!

Let’s have some fun and get creative about giving to save lives!
Here are 12 steps you can consider taking now:

1.Cash, Check, Credit Yes of Course! Whether you can give a one time gift or a regular monthly gift all of it is necessary to maintain the shelter, food, vetting etc.

2. Donate Items instead of having a garage sale or Estate Sale! Even the remains after a sale will still have treasures for someone through our store. Our Thrift Store is always looking for good donations…19 Cobalt Street Blairsville, GA, (up the hill behind the post office) 706-400-5548

3. Consider donating a Car, Boat, or Yacht  :-} . If the vehicle does not run, it still has scrap metal value…if the vehicle runs, but it needs a little TLC, it could still be worth $500+. If the vehicle runs; absolutely, a fantastic way to give.

4. Do you have a family but they are all well off and don’t need your money when you go see the Lord in heaven? Put CastOff Pet Rescue as a Beneficiary in your Will. Regardless of the amount, it still counts! Fur babies still need your help even after you’re gone.

5. Do you have family, but they don’t need or want your “stuff”…Bank Accounts, Savings Accounts, CD’s, Money markets…all of these can have a beneficiary placed on the account which will bypass probate, therefore the entire amount goes where you want it to go. You can leave any of these accounts to a place that needs it after your gone…the furbabie still need to be cared for. They depend on us humans for food, shelter and vetting. A death certificate must be presented to gain access to the account so leave behind notes or tell the bank they need to contact us.

6. Now here is one often overlooked…do you have a small paid up life insurance policy stuffed in a drawer somewhere that you almost forgot about? Yes, Designate Castoff Pet Rescue as the beneficiary.

7. Any Life Insurance Policy can have one or multiple beneficiaries! If you don’t have a lot of money now, but you do have a life insurance policy, add CastOff Pet Rescue as a beneficiary…this is a great way to help our four legged friends!

8. How many times you have heard Gold is the way to go for investing? I have a Gold and Silver coin and bullion collection. My family has no interest like I do in the beauty of a Collectible Coin. One $50 Gold Collectible Coin can be worth a couple thousand dollars. You get the idea..Put in your Will that CastOff Pet Rescue gets the coin or entire collection.

9. Let’s look a little bigger…You have pets…when you’re gone, they still need you. You can Leave behind Funds that will specifically take care of them the rest of their lives when you’re gone. You would be absolutely shocked at how often folks pass away and leave one or many pets behind without anywhere to go. They could wind up anywhere…not always a good anywhere… this could come from many of the above sources.

10. Donate your home and if you like, everything in it. We treat these things with Respect. We don’t just come in looking for treasures. We deal with everything, with the respect it deserves. Your home is a special place! It is a very important asset while you are alive and to us when you pass. We will respect every inch and the enormous generous gift that you have made.

11. Interestingly enough I absolutely love my Thomas Kinkade Gallery Proof Art! I want them to go somewhere they will be respected for the Beauty that I see in them.  This my friend, again, must go in a Will to make sure they go to the right place, which of course is Castoff Pet Rescue.org.

12. This one is not only easy but it is absolutely necessary…Share the Message I’ve shared here with you! Spread the word. It’s not always easy to talk about  some of these topics with family and friends but we absolutely need you to do just that! I can tell you right now…I have helped box up two Estates, one of which was after the estate sale and the other when there was no estate sale and we boxed it all, carried it off and put it in our store.

13. Bakers Dozen…Volunteer in the store, at the shelter, at bingo etc…if you have special skills like grant writing, we would love to talk with you. We are always in need of volunteers. If you can give just once a month, that can make a difference.
